The 2nd edition of the International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICICT) is being organized by the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh on the 21st and 22nd of October 2024. The focus of ICICT is to present and discuss scientific results, novel ideas, practical applications, and the latest trends in information and communication technology. 

The conference this year has received 153 research paper submissions from a total of 339 authors from 5 different countries. After a rigorous double-blind review process, 68 papers were accepted for presentation at the conference.

The inauguration ceremony of the conference started at 10:00 AM at the Council Bhaban in BUET premises. Dr. A. B. M. Badruzzaman, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of BUET, was the chief guest, and Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury, Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET, was the special guest of the inauguration ceremony. The Dean of the Faculty of Post-Graduate Studies, Dr. Abu Rayhan Md. Ali, was also a guest at the ceremony. The opening started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. After that, the Director of IICT, Dr. Hossen Asiful Mustafa, gave a brief introduction to the conference and IICT. Followed by that, Dr. Abu Rayhan Md. Ali (Dean, FPGS, BUET), shared his insights about the latest trends in ICT. Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury (Hon’ble Pro-VC, BUET) gave an eloquent speech on the impacts and importance of ICT in today’s life. Dr. A. B. M. Badruzzaman (Hon’ble VC, BUET) very graciously welcomed all to the conference and shared his experiences with all. Finally, with permission from the chief guest, Dr. A. B. M. Badruzzaman (Hon’ble VC, BUET), ICICT 2024 officially began.

There will be a total of 10 technical sessions over the two days of the conference, where presenters will present their work on different topics like Artificial Intelligence, Computer Applications, Security, Telecommunication, Internet of Things (IoT), Signal Processing, and Robotics. The conference will also have 4 keynote speeches, 2 invited talks and a tutorial.
