Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) and the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) BUET have recently organized a three-day long ICT Fest 2025 from 13-15 February 2025. The final events of the fest was held at the BUET auditorium complex on 15 February 2015.
The fest featured a 24-hour online Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, which began at 8 PM on 13 February. A total of 257 teams, composed of students and professionals from across the country, participated in the contest. On the final day, there were project showcases, poster presentations, and seven technical sessions. The festival also hosted two panel discussions on “Cyber Frontier Trends, Threats, and Defences” and “Future of Intelligent Risk Management and Fraud Detection.” These discussions brought together professionals, students, and academics for an interactive exchange of ideas and perspectives.
Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Professor, IICT, BUET, served in the judge’s panel and also participated in the panel discussion as a panelist. Dr. Hossen Asiful Mustafa, Professor, IICT, BUET, presented a technical session titled ‘Research and Industry Collaboration: Myth or Real?’
At the closing, awards were presented to the winners of the CTF competition, project showcase and poster presentation.
