IICT, BUET and KEIO University, Japan organized 53rd AIII/SOI Asia Meeting from 9 May 2022 to 11 May 2022. The meeting was held online via Zoom platform. Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice-Chancellor, BUET and Prof. Dr. Jun Murai, Distinguished Professor, KEIO University graced the opening session. There was keynote speech titled Outcome-based Education in the 4IR Era – Bridging for a Prosperous Bangladesh by Dr. A.F.M. Saiful Amin, CE, BUET. Then, there was panel discussion on Challenges and Best Practices to Ensure Inclusive Education for Students with Special Needs by Prof. Dr. M Shamim Kaiser Professor, Jahangirnagar University and Dr. Giulia Barbareschi, Visiting Research Fellow (JSPS), Keio University; the panel was moderated by Dr. Hossen Asiful Mustafa, IICT, BUET.

On the 2nd day, there were research presentations by AIT, Thailand, and BUET followed by Open Science Workshop by UNESCO, Jakarta. Then, there was discussion on Communication Based Research (CBR).

On the 3rd day, there was a session by APNIC Foundation and updates from the AIII/SOI partners. Prof. Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Pro-vice Chancellor, BUET and Keiko Okawa (Professor, Keio University were present in the closing ceremony.
