The 6th IEEE International Conference on Telecommunications and Photonics 2025 (ICTP 2025), held on 18-19 December, 2025, has been successfully organized by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), Bangladesh Chapter, with the support of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The IEEE Photonics Society, Bangladesh Chapter, and the Optica Bangladesh Section served as the technical co-sponsors of the event. The conference covered a wide range of topics relevant to telecommunications and photonics, aiming to encourage exposure to high-quality research, industry-academia collaboration, and scientific innovation among experts from diverse research fields. ICTP 2025 served as the platform for distinguished academicians, scientists, researchers, students, and industrial professionals for knowledge exchange and fruitful discussions on recent advancements in the relevant research fields. The conference featured 80 technical presentations, including multiple keynote sessions and invited talks by distinguished international and national invited speakers, and industrial talks, along with around 70 contributed talks, highlighting cutting-edge research. Delegates from all over Bangladesh, representing many renowned academic institutions and industries, participated in the event. Overall, the event was highly appreciated and received an enthusiastic response from the participants. The presented papers will be published in IEEE Xplore.

The conference was inaugurated by the honorable Vice-Chancellor of BUET, Prof. Dr. Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman. The conference turned into a successful event through valuable contributions from the members of the organizing committee, reviewers, sponsors, student volunteers, and participants. ICTP 2025 stands as a significant step toward strengthening research culture and promoting excellence in the field of telecommunications and photonics.
